Question: Discuss About The Principles Project Evaluation Programming? Answer: Introducation The project management refers to execution of various business operations which are accomplished within a definite period of time. The tasks done under the project management help in getting the work done on time and as per the requirements. The present report undertakes the discussion on project management where the major objective is to develop an e-ticketing system for Riverina Agriculture and Lifestyle Show operations (Sinha Labi, 2011). Thus the project has been undertaken for Installation of electronic ticketing system for RALS. As per this, the organisational value for various areas has been measured. Besides this, attempt has been made to show scope of this project. Apart from this, the risk analysis has been done to make plans for their solution in advance. Thus, the entire project is closed properly after completion and its evaluation. The said project is undertaken for installation of the electronic ticketing system in RALS. This will make an addition to the system in enhancing facilities for customers without waiting for a long time (Kerzner, 2013). Accordingly, the impacts over diverse will also be different which are as follows: Strategy: The proposed project will aid in developing a system for customers facility thereby increasing the satisfaction among consumers. Thus, the developed system will help in increasing the customers demand and value for their money. Social: The advancement in the market compels the organisations to adopt changes and utilise all those operations which can aid in creating value for society and fulfil their needs. Thus, with this project, there will be a positive effect on society. Operational: The project undertaken for installation of e-ticketing system will help in demonstrating the efficiency and capability of the corporation (Larson Gray, 2013). Thus, it will be helpful in increasing reliability among customers towards the firm. Customer: The new system developed within enterprise has the efficiency of making customers needs more easily satisfied. Thus, the entity will get positive outcomes in the form of increased customer base. Financial: The financial outcome will also be positive though; there will be some initial investment. But after installation company will evidence good performance with increased financial response (Fleming Koppelman, 2016). Types of value Faster: This installation will help in booking tickets at a faster rate. Better: This is an improved and better version of traditional way to book tickets. Acceptance criteria The completion of entire project on pre determined time and budget. Performance of new system as per the expectations, without any type of error (De Bakker, Boonstra Wortmann, 2010). Project Scope The present project of installing the e-ticketing system within RALS will be undertaken as per the four phases of project which are initialisation, planning, system development and documentation of the project. As per the first phase of initialisation, works like preparing documents, making charter of project, meetings and submitting the documents will be accomplished. At the planning stage, a particular methodology will be determined for the sake of outlining the plan and reviewing it to get the approval. The system development will be accomplished by designing the platform, database programming all required applications and testing phase. The final stage of documentation will be completed by making final reports, their submission and signing off these reports (Alves et.al., 2012). After this, a formal closure of the project will be undertaken. As per the requirement for developing the system of e-ticketing in the RALS, a number of resources will be required to be combined so as to get the desired outcome. Use of various types of software and hardware will be required to generate the system. Apart from this, a team will be required who will manage the entire project. A project consists of many types of risks that can hinder the progress of project, therefore, it is very essential to anticipate those risks and formulate plans for managing those risks. In present project, a proposal of installing a system is given which will help in generation of e-tickets in RALS. Therefore, various risks related to this proposal have been forecasted so as to be prepared for solving those issues. For this purpose, a risk register has been formulated which will aid in managing various risks (Eskerod Huemann, 2013). Risk description Cause Internal/External Positive/Negative Likelihood Impact Problem in arranging required resources and teams Failure in assessing the requirements related to resources due to ineffective planning External Negative Low Failing to arrange for required resources and teams will inhibit the process of proposed plan. Failure in technical operations Unable to appoint an expert in technical field who can handle and guide all technological issues (Sinha Labi, 2011). Internal Negative Moderate Entire proposal is based on technological uses failing to which may result in unsuccessful completion of project. Security of data and information A large database will be stored in the system which is prone to be hacked and accessed by any unauthorised person due to lack of proper security. Internal Negative High Loss of data and other information may cost highly to the entire project. Moreover, it will result in unnecessary delay in project (Kerzner, 2013). Conflicts among team members and clashes upon different opinions of various team members Less cooperation among team members and unknown to various roles and responsibilities expected from each team member may raise such situation (Larson Gray, 2013). Internal Negative High It will result in improper completion of the project or delivery of the project may be delayed. Quality management plan The project management is a complex task that is essential to be handled with proper care. To execute the project as per the plan is not enough, it is crucial to maintain quality of the project for which it is essential to fix specific standards against which actual performance can be measured. The present project of installing e-ticketing system within RALS will help in effective management of customers satisfaction. For this purpose, reviewing the project and to maintain standard quality is significant so as to ensure its completion and delivery on determined time (Fleming Koppelman, 2016). This objective can be achieved with the help of Total quality management (TQM) approach which is based on determining standards for each task against which will help in ensuring quality within entire project. Quality issues Techniques: The present project is entirely based on several tools and techniques that must be as per the requirements of the tasks. For attaining success in the undertaken project, it is crucial to use measures and techniques which are suitable. Selection of right tools and techniques ensure success of the project and its delivery on time. The respective project has been accomplished as per the TQM approach for the sake of maintaining quality standard in the project. The approach will help in managing various tasks under the project as per the highest standard that will make the process faster with less number of errors. Controlling quality: The quality control can be maintained by proper monitoring and reviewing the entire project (De Bakker, Boonstra Wortmann, 2010). Here, the actual performance can be measured against the standard ones so as to ensure quality in the project. On determining any deviation in the actual outcome, it can be reformed through corrections. Closure and evaluation The Project management: A systems approach to planning written by Harold Kerzner explains a streamlined approach for project management. Besides this, the various other prospects related to measuring project managements ROI, value to the customers and companies etc. Another book is Project management: the managerial process with MS project written by Erik Larson and Clifford Gray has defined and explained various terms related to project management. Besides this, it describes different methods that are used for evaluating the success of a project. The book written by Kumares C. Sinha Transportation decision making: Principles of project evaluation and programming helps readers for taking decisions related to investment in a project by evaluating it. Deliverables Description check Notes E-ticketing system Deliver a system of electronic ticketing which will help in easy booking of tickets through online medium Check The system is developed and delivered to client. Quality standards The application system installed is of high quality which will help in proper functioning with less breakdowns (Alves et.al., 2012). Check Standard quality determined for high quality. Remuneration of staff Making sure that entire team has been paid as per the accepted agreement for their work. Check Proper formalities have been executed after paying all the liabilities. Documentation Development of all required documents for proper closure of project. Check Ensuring that all documents are complete for project undertaken (Bredillet, Yatim Ruiz, 2010). Project evaluation The evaluation of the current project can be undertaken as per the MOV determined for it. Thus, the evaluation can be done as per below: Scope: The scope for current project was determined as solving the issue related to booking of tickets. As per this a new system has been installed which will help in enhancing the experience of customers for booking of tickets. Schedule: The projects success is determined by its delivery time which should match with pre determined schedule (Lee Yong, 2010). The current project has been completed by the manager in time and has been delivered in time as well. Budget and quality: preparation of budget for undertaking a project is significant and critical task. The projects success can be evaluated on the basis of its completion as per the pre determined budget. The present project has been accomplished within set budget. Besides this, entire project delivered as per the standard quality (Eskerod Huemann, 2013). Conclusion The present report is based on project management where a project of installing electronic ticketing system for Riverina Agriculture and Lifestyle show operations (RALS) has been undertaken. The report has been structured in a sequential manner by explaining different resource requirements and management that has been done for successful completion of the project. Apart from this, the quality control measure has also been adopted which will aid in maintaining the standard of project and its delivery on time. References Alves, A. C. (2012).
